What it costs to find out

Nothing,
until you
order.

Three things we do before any money changes hands. They are not a promotion with an end date, they are how we take on every new job.

Open to every new customerNo code needed

No risk, no commitment

The review, the quote and the stack-up proposal cost nothing and tie you to nothing. Walk away afterwards and the report is still yours.

Free

One free sample board

On your first order we build one extra board at our cost, so you can cut it, section it or torture-test it without spending a piece from your own count.

First order

Gerber review and DFM check

Send a file set and we open it, check it against what the line can hold, and write back what we would change and why. Every job, including the ones you do not place with us.

Always free

Gerbers and a BOM are enough to start.

Send a file set
01

Order

Send Gerbers and a BOM. You get a DFM report and an itemised quote in two working days.

02

We make it

Bare board and assembly, both ours. Electrically tested, inspected, and recorded against your part number.

03

Delivery

Packed with the test record and shipped by air. Three to six days to the USA or Europe.

Most boards don't fail
at the factory.
They fail at the file.

A board that comes back dead is almost never a surprise. It was a 3 mil track squeezed next to a 6 mil clearance, an aspect ratio the drill couldn't plate, a thermal relief missing under a ground pad, a stack-up that never matched the impedance the design assumed.

So we start there. Before anything is cut, your files go through a manufacturability review and you get a written response. Not a silent edit, and not a board that technically matches the Gerbers but was never going to work. If we would change something, we tell you what and why, and you decide.

That review is free, and it happens on every job including the first one.

What we build

Three kinds of work.
One line.

The difference between these isn't quality. Every board gets the same inspection. It's how much of the process has to slow down for yours.

Soldermask and finish

Six masks.
Six finishes.
One decision.

Mask colour is yours to pick and costs nothing extra on most runs. The surface finish is the one that actually changes how the board solders, how long it keeps, and what it costs. Six of them below, on boards from our line.

Inside the board

A board is not
a sheet. It's a
pressed stack.

What arrives looking like one green card is twelve sheets of copper laminated into glass-reinforced epoxy under heat and pressure, then drilled through and electroplated so the layers can talk to each other.

Pulled apart, it reads clearly: six routing layers carrying signals, six solid planes carrying ground and power, and the resin pressed between every pair of them. The plated barrels that join them run straight down through the stack.

Why the order matters

Signal layers are never stacked next to each other by accident. Every fast signal needs a solid reference plane directly above or below it, because the return current doesn't take the shortest path back. It takes the path of least inductance, which is the copper right beside the track it came from.

Break that plane with a slot, or route a signal across a gap in the ground, and the return current has to detour. That detour is the loop that radiates, and it's why a board can pass every continuity test and still fail EMC.

The line

Eight stages between
your file and a
finished board.

Design for manufacture

Your Gerbers, drill file, netlist and stack-up are checked against what the line can physically hold: annular ring, aspect ratio, track and gap, soldermask slivers, acid traps. You get a written report, not a silent correction.

Stack-up and impedance

We build the layer stack to hit your target impedance with the dielectric constants of the actual material we'll press, then send it back for approval before any copper is imaged.

Inner layers and AOI

Inner copper is imaged, developed, etched and stripped, then scanned by automated optical inspection against the original artwork. Opens and shorts are caught here, where a panel is still cheap.

Lamination

Cores and prepreg are stacked, pinned and pressed under heat and vacuum. The resin flows, cures, and the stack becomes a single board. Thickness and registration are measured coming out.

Drill and plate

Mechanical drilling for through-holes, laser for microvias. The holes are desmeared, chemically seeded and electroplated until the barrel carries current, usually 20 to 25 µm of copper on the wall.

Outer layers, mask, finish

Outer copper is imaged and etched, soldermask is applied and cured, silkscreen is printed, and the exposed pads take their surface finish: ENIG, immersion silver, OSP or lead-free HASL.

Electrical test

Every board is tested against the netlist, by flying probe for low volume or a dedicated fixture for production. No board ships on the assumption that it matches the file.

Assembly, inspection, ship

Paste, placement, reflow to a profile matched to your board's mass, then AOI on every joint and X-ray on every BGA. Depanel, conformal coat if specified, pack and ship with the test record.

Questions we get asked

Before you
send a file.

What do you need from me to quote a bare board?

Gerber RS-274X or ODB++, an Excellon drill file, and the board outline. Tell us quantity, layer count, finished thickness, copper weight, surface finish and soldermask colour. If any of those are open, say so and we'll quote the sensible default and show you what the alternatives cost.

And for a turnkey assembly?

The same board files plus a BOM with manufacturer part numbers, a centroid or pick-and-place file, and an assembly drawing showing polarity and any special handling. If your BOM has parts with long lead times, we'll flag them at quote stage rather than halfway through the build.

Can you hold controlled impedance?

Yes. Give us the target impedance and which layers it applies to, and we'll build the stack-up to hit it using the real dielectric constants of the material we press, then send the stack-up for your approval before imaging. Standard tolerance is ±10%; ±5% is available and affects price and yield.

What happens to my design files?

They are used to build your boards and nothing else. We sign your NDA, or ours if you'd rather use one. Files are not shared with anyone outside the people building the job, and we don't keep your design to use as a reference or a sample.

How long does it actually take?

Quick-turn prototypes up to 8 layers, 24 to 72 hours from approved files. Standard production, 7 to 12 working days. HDI and high layer count, 15 to 25 days. Turnkey assembly adds component lead time, which is the part nobody controls. We give you the honest date, not the optimistic one.

Do you have a minimum order?

Five pieces for a bare prototype board. There's no minimum for assembly beyond what the components allow. Some parts only come on a reel of 3,000, and we'll tell you when that's what's driving the price.

How do you source components?

Authorised distributors first: Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Farnell and the manufacturers direct. If a part is only available on the open market we tell you before we buy it, and anything bought that way is verified before it goes on your board. You can also consign your own parts and we'll build with those.

What inspection record do I get?

Electrical test results, AOI pass record, and X-ray images for BGA devices where applicable. For first articles we send photographs and measurements before the rest of the run is built, so you approve a real board rather than a drawing.

How does shipping to the USA or Europe work?

DDP or DAP by air, typically three to six days in transit. We handle the export documentation and the commercial invoice from this end. Duties and any local compliance on arrival depend on your country and the terms we agree on the quote. It's set before you order, not discovered after.

Why work with you rather than a larger supplier?

Because a hundred-piece build is not a rounding error here, and because you deal with the people making the decisions rather than an account manager relaying them. We're not going to claim we're cheaper on every job. On simple two-layer volume we often aren't. Where we're worth it is the work that needs someone to actually look at your design before it is built.

Send us a file. We'll tell you what we'd change.

No account, no login, no quote form that disappears into nothing. Attach your Gerbers and we'll come back with a price, a lead time, and a written note on anything in the design that will cost you yield.
